1. Formation of a Separate Non-Profit Organization (NPO)
Be it resolved that the CFGPA Board of Directors take the necessary actions to form a separate Non-Profit Organization (NPO) for any non-charitable activities undertaken by the club. The Board will establish structure and governance for both the Registered Charity and the NPO in compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations, the Canadian Firearms Act, and the British Columbia Societies Act.

Background:
CFGPA, formally registered in 1936 with roots dating back to 1905, has a long history of conservation, education, and community support.

2. Bylaw Amendment – Section 5.01
Be it resolved that the words “and Treasurer” be deleted from paragraph 5.01 of the CFGPA bylaws.

Background:
The current bylaw requires both the President and Treasurer to have served as a Director for one year prior to election. This has been found unnecessarily restrictive. Removing this requirement for the Treasurer will allow more capable members to serve in the role.

Current:
“…The President and Treasurer must have served as a Director for at least one year…”
Proposed:
“…The President must have served as a Director for at least one year…”
